Marmic have recently played an instrumental part in the revitalisation of Belfast City Centre by installing unique natural stone granite paving, sourced from the Far East. The Belfast Streets Ahead programme was funded by the Department for Social Development (DSD) and aims to give Belfast a new modern look, enhancing the retail environment and improved the linkages between the Cornmarket and Fountain areas and making the city more accessible.

The granite setts, flags, channels & kerbs were implemented throughout the main streets in the City Centre including:

  • Ann Street
  • Castle Lane
  • Corn Market
  • Arthur Street
  • Callender Street
  • Arthur Place
  • Castle Place
  • Donegall Place
  • Castle Street
  • Fountain Street
  • College Street
  • Fountain Lane, and
  • Queen Street.
